3D Areola Restoration

3D Areola Restoration is a specialized form of paramedical tattooing designed to recreate the visual appearance of an areola and nipple.

It can be considered by clients following mastectomy, breast reconstruction, nipple reconstruction, or other breast surgery that has changed or removed the natural appearance of the areola.

Using carefully selected pigments, color blending, shading, highlights, and dimensional techniques, the tattoo is created to give the illusion of natural depth and detail.

Every restoration is customized to the individual client.

A Personalized Design

No two 3D Areola Restoration procedures are exactly the same.

The design is created based on:

  • Skin tone

  • Individual anatomy

  • Surgical result

  • Desired size

  • Shape

If one natural areola remains, its color, size, and appearance may also be used as a reference when appropriate.

My artistic background allows me to work with subtle differences in light, shadow, tone, and dimension to create a realistic and balanced appearance.

The Procedure

The final design and pigment colors are selected before tattooing begins.

During the procedure, multiple tones and shading techniques may be used to build natural-looking color, depth, and dimension.

The goal is not to create an identical result for every client, but to create a restoration that looks appropriate and balanced for the individual body.

  • Placement

  • Color

  • Symmetry

  • Personal preference

Consultation

Every 3D Areola Restoration begins with a private consultation.

During the consultation, we can discuss your surgical history, healing, expectations, desired result, and any questions you may have.

We will also discuss the appropriate shape, size, placement, and color before moving forward with the procedure.

Because every client’s surgical history and healing process are different, the treatment plan is always individualized.

Healing & Follow-Up

After the procedure, detailed aftercare instructions are provided.

The tattoo will change during the healing process as the skin recovers and the pigment settles.

Pigment retention and healing vary from person to person. Once the area is fully healed, the final result can be evaluated and a touch-up can be discussed if needed.

Who May Benefit From 3D Areola Restoration

3D Areola Restoration may be an option for individuals who have experienced changes to the appearance of the breast or areola following:

  • Mastectomy

  • Breast reconstruction

  • Nipple reconstruction

  • Breast surgery

  • Loss or alteration of the natural areola

  • Surgical scarring around the areola area

The area must be sufficiently healed before tattooing. Individual timing and any necessary medical clearance can be discussed during consultation.
